Japanese real-estate developer and retail management company, Tokyu Corporation, announced that it will build a large-scale shopping center featuring an outlet of major Japanese retailer Aeon Co. near Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam, that will open in the spring of 2023.
Tokyu said that the new shopping mall, which has been tentatively named SORA Gardens SC, will be located in Binh Duong New City in Binh Duong Province. Binh Duong New City is 30 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City.
Tokyu’s announcement said that its Vietnamese subsidiary, Becamex Tokyu Company, will invest in the shopping center, which will include health facilities along with restaurants and other retail facilities, in addition to an Aeon outlet. Becamex Tokyu has been involved in urban development in the new city for several years and has already opened two commercial facilities.
