The recently held Vietnam Digital Awards, recognized VNPAY and its applications – VNPAY-QR and QR Merchant Management System – as the most outstanding digital technology applications in Vietnam during 2018.
The awards, organized by the Vietnam Digital Communication Association (VDCA) honors individuals and organisations that have produced excellent achievements in applying and providing digital solutions towards improving customer experience as well as promoting digital development in the country.
After only two years of operations, more than 2,000 shops nationwide accept payments through VNPAY-QR, with a new user growth rate of 30% year. In order to bring convenience for its business customers, VNPAY developed its QR Merchant Management System (QR MMS).
VNPAY is maximizing efforts to deepening its market penetration, and wants to build VNPAY-QR into the preferred payment system of both businesses and consumers. QR code payment systems have become a popular payment method in shopping, travelling, and entertainment and VNPAY is integrated into the mobile apps of 18 of the leading Vietnamese banks.
VNPAY-QR payment solutions have been well received by consumers as well as enterprises. Enterprises like the system because of its ease of use in deploying, operating, and managing payment transactions. Using the VNPAY-QR code system, businesses spend very little on the initial infrastructure, while the system is easy to deploy on a large scale and quickly with a low cost.
VNPAY has also developed its QR MMS system to provide online reports of each transaction to merchants. QR MMS gives smart and easy-to-use tools to business owners, which allows them to be more active in supervision and management. It allows merchants to view and manage their payment information at any shop, anytime, anywhere.
Both VNPAY-QR and QR MMS are considered outstanding digital technology applications contributing significantly to the process of digital transformation in Vietnam. VNPAY has pledged that it will continue to improve its systems in 2019 in recognition of its recent award and will seek to take first place in the 2018 awards.
