Campaign Asia-Pacific, a media company providing insights and intelligence to the region's marketing-communications industry, together with Nielsen, the global market research firm, has named Vietnam Airlines to its list of the “10 Most Valuable Brands in Vietnam.”
This is the first time that Vietnam Airlines has broken into the top 10.
The list also includes major international brands including Apple, Honda and Samsung, and Vietnamese brands including Trung Nguyen Coffee, Vingroup and Vinamilk
In order to determine the most popular brands in Vietnam, a survey was conducted from February 21 to March 19. Survey participants, who were selected from 14 markets in Asia, were asked to choose the top Vietnamese brands with the best market reputation.
The global COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected Vietnam, along with the rest of the world, caused a shake up in the top 10 this year. In previous surveys, foreign brands placed higher than domestic brands. However this year, consumers this year favored domestic companies, especially those companies that had effectively supported society during the global pandemic, which included domestic companies such as Vietnam Airlines and Vingroup.
Participants in the survey said that Vietnam Airlines was appreciated for its professional and world-class service, and for its efforts to conduct both domestic and international flights during Vietnam’s Covid-19 lockdown, often putting Vietnam Airline staff at risk, for the community’s benefit.
Throughout the two phases of the Covid0-19 pandemic that Vietnam has experienced, the airline has carried out the free transportation of medical goods, repatriated 28,000 Vietnamese citizens, and continued connecting cargo routes for the government and approved companies.
In addition to the recognition from Campaign Asia and Nielsen, the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association recently honored the airline as first place in the” Top 10 Famous Vietnamese Trademarks in 2020.”
