National Day

September 2, 1945 was a major date of Vietnam. It was an establishment day of Democratic Republic of Vietnam. On this date, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, officialy claiming the independence and sovereignty of Vietnam from France. After Vietnam was completely liberated, September 2 is still considered the National Day.

There is also an annual marching on the Ba Dinh Square and fireworks in the major cities of Vietnam. September 2 is truly an utmost special day for the whole Vietnam nation.

On this date, big cities such as Ha Noi or Ho Chi Minh City set up outdoor singing concerts to entertain the citizens
