Giant property developer Novaland has been named one of the top 100 sustainable companies in Vietnam by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (VCCI) Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development.
The VCCI’s award, launched in 2016, has become one of the most prestigious in the county in terms of honoring efforts by companies to achieve sustainability. This year, Novaland received the 11th place award.
To be named by the VCCI to the list, companies should meet standards set in the Corporate Sustainability Index, the first of its kind in country to benchmark sustainable development. The index lists over 100 criteria that are based on international standards and in accordance with Vietnamese law.
As part of its management and operations strategy, Novaland is one of the few companies to establish a sustainable development council with experienced experts as members. The company has formed a sustainable development strategy based on business operations, human resource development and environmental management.
Novaland has also initiated internal training classes for its management, marketing, sales, administration, and operations staff on why sustainable development is important and what the company is doing to bring world-class sustainability standards to its Vietnam projects.
