Gojek Vietnam launched its integrated app in Vietnam last week, the first market it has done so outside its home country of Indonesia. The Gojek Vietnam app will offer offers motorbike ride hailing (GoBike), logistics (GoSend) and food delivery (GoFood), and additional Gojek services will be added to the app later this year.
Gojek’s announcement about the app said, “Today marks a significant moment in Gojek’s journey and in our long-term commitment to Vietnam. We continue to see immense potential for growth and impact in the country, and we are proud and excited to introduce the Gojek Super App experience to an existing and new generation of users.”
According to the company, Gojek has more than 150,000 drivers and 80,000 food merchants in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and the company expects an expansion of all of its services due to the app.
The company said that the new Vietnam app has been developed using a new international technology platform, that will allow the company to efficiently roll out new offerings, and to adapt and scale up different services depending on changing needs and priorities.
Phung Tuan Duc, General Manager of Gojek Vietnam, commented on the app’s launch and said, “In under two years, we have grown exponentially, attracting millions of users and a thriving partner eco-system. As Gojek, we will be able to transform user experience, innovate more quickly, increase income-earning opportunities and create a lasting positive impact in Vietnam for years to come.”
Gojek customers will be able access the app in all countries where the company operates, including Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore and in Thailand in late August or early September.
