Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam’s national flag carrier announced today (March 19) that it will suspend all international flights between now and April 30 amid the worsening COVID-19 pandemic.
• From March 21, flights between Vietnam and Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand will be suspended
• From March 23, flights to and from Japan and the United Kingdom will be suspended
• From March 24, flights to Australia and Germany will be suspended
Earlier, the airline had temporarily stopped flights between Vietnam and China, France, Hong Kong, Macao, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan
According to the airline, all passengers who have bought tickets for international flights before March 25 will be eligible to changing their itineraries or flight dates for free.
Vietnam Airlines said that passengers planning to fly internationally during this period should actively monitor the flight schedule and all relevant government directives.
