Liberation Day

Liberation Day, or Reunification Day is a public holiday that marks the occasion North Vietnamese troops captured Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh City in present days) on April 30, 1975. This event signalled the end of Vietnam War and start the period of reunification.

HTV(Ho Chi Minh Television) Bike Racing is a great event to celebrate Liberation Day. Bike racers will ride along Vietnam. At 11 o’clock am of April 30 (the time North Vietnamese troops occupied Thong Nhat Mansion), all the racers must be in their final destination: Thong Nhat Mansion


On this day, people also come to cemetaries of dead soldiers to give thanks to them
